Currently the 200 metre qualifying for womens U15 is taking place but don't know any results.
Tonight's session starts at 6.30pm according to Mick Cummings, and should be ripper racing.
Well done Jacob and sure Mal will publish full results as each days racing comes to hand.

( 0 / 0 )Talking to a very good older masters rider last week he told me about a 70 plus year old rider. He said that the particular rider asked if he could drop a grade and his request was ingnored.
Firstly I recognise that a rider should contact the handicapper of the particular club firstly and not just rock up on the day. Having said that, in my view there should be room for flexability in certain cases. I am not talking about a bloke going from E grade to F grade. Am talking about a bloke riding B grade who has not placed in that grade, from my knowledge.
If old riders who are in high grades ask for a move down then there should be room to accomodate their wishes. If they ask for a move down then smash the next grade down then they burn bridges anyway. I do think riders in the high 60's or into 70's should be shown latitude as long as they respect the outcome.
For me I have raced both CCCC and Southern Vets mainly and found in my own case I cannot falter the treatment of my grading.
When I do return to race my request will be to drop to D grade and hopefully that will be accomodated. Equally I think old blokes like myself who struggle to place in a grade should ask for consideration to drop a grade. Sometimes old riders ego's get in the way of their aging abilities.
Enjoy your racing if your riding tonight.

( 0 / 0 )The Australian Junior National titles start this morning at DISC and are on until Saturday. If you want to see how really good these young riders are then get along to a session or two. I wish all those riding well and hope you each ride up to yours and your coaches expectations.
Spoke to Mick Cummings this morning and he told me Jack is excited and looking forward to racing. Rang Jack the other day to wish him and his team mates all the best.
As Mick said you cannot under estimate those you race against and must treat them with respect.
Good luck all and enjoy yourselves.

( 0 / 0 )If you pull up on Google 1959 Tour de France you will see some great footage but like me you probably won't understand the language. Col commented on the climbing styles but remember in 1959 they had 10 speed gears probably front combination 47/50 and 5 speed cluster 13, 51, 17, 19, 21. Perhaps something different but the range then was very limited as even Campag back then did not take up great slack in the chain.
Anyway might be of interest. There is some great footage on the system.
Cheers.
