OUT AGAIN

Talk about getting out, I am off to DISC soon to watch the pursuits and scratch races. Will sit down a lot more today my back is bloody tight from yesterday. Will write up something tonight on what I have seen.

AT TRACK MASTERS TODAY

This morning Hilton came to see me, took me to lunch and then DISC. Spent the afternoon catching up with many friends and watching good racing.

Enjoyed the day, a bit tired so will turn in early then back out tomorrow to watch pursuits and scratch races.

Go numbers racing a bit thin in some age groups either gender. It is a pitty that more of our track rider ladies did not enter but perhaps doing other things.

Standard was high in all events and enjoyed just being in the track environment again. One pleasing thing was that I did not see any one rider dominate all events in the younger bigger age groups. Standards were high and good seeing new riders racing track.

Just remember if you are newe to track jusdt give yourself time to improve and learn about your best gearing, ride techniques etc etc. You don't adjust to it over night so don't expect too much.

CAUGHT UP IN PILE UP

In todays stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico Simon got caught in a pile up. He says he did not get hurt but was spewing that he could not get back on. The stack happened at 4 k's from the finish. Anyway after 3 stages he has lost only 56 seconds, over 40 seconds of that today.

WHY IT'S CHANGED

If you pull up the 1982 World Keirin Track Title on You Tube you can see the event in contrast to todays Keirin event. Whilst we like watching some rough house racing I think you would agree that todays race has improved somewhat with stricter rules.
