Congratulations to Ian for his impressive solo win at Saturday's Preston Mountain Classic. Ian's race report revealed that "my bunch [19 minutes] caught the limit bunch [27 minutes] just before the last climb and I felt really good having had 4 others in our group that wanted to roll turns constantly. I managed to get over the top with a bit of a gap and maintained it till the finish, which was very satisfying."

Other CCCC riders to excell included fellow 19 minute bunch riders Radele Berriman (6th) and Rob Pagey (7th), while Denise Bennett (27 minutes) was denied a high finish by a puncture with just 500 metres remaining!

CCCC had by far the biggest representation at Preston, so it was fitting that one of our own came away with the win.

Our Elite riders didin't have as much luck, with the 124km Elite race dominated by the Drapac Porsche led scratch bunch. Mitch Docker dodged cars best to take the win ahead of Sean Finning. More details and photos can be seen at Fiona Carnibella's excellent site, www.pixweb.com.au
