Once again Carnegie has been able to field a large number of teams in the Victorian Club Track Championships (“Club Teams”) event this weekend. Although senior numbers are down on past years, the juniors are turning out in force, being the backbone of an amazing 34 teams to contest the championships form under11 through to Masters.
Teams will compete in two events – the Team Sprint, and the Team Pursuit, offering a rare opportunity to compete with their club mates as a team.
This year sees the introduction of new change-over rules for the Team Sprint . These should make for “cleaner” changes and less “grey area” for commissaires when determining whether a change was legal, however it is sure to provide some controversy of its own as riders get used to it.
The Championships are held this weekend over Saturday and Sunday .
A reminder to all riders – you must wear CCCC club kit (or “neutral”, unbranded kit) – no sponsored clothing is allowed!!

A few corrections to the Team sprint age groups that I’ve just seen:
* Under 13 girls team sprint = Magenta and Maddy
* Under 15 girls team sprint = Alana & Georgia (Shanelle reserve)
