Edit: Sun 16 Sept. Note the revised closing dates for CCCC nominations for Rounds 2 to 4 of the NJTS.

Once again Carnegie Caulfield is entering a team (or teams) in the exciting National Junior Track Series. Last year we had a top-3 finish against the strongest Clubs and combines in the country.

Open to U15 and U17 riders, the series offers riders the opportunity to race around Australia against the best the country has to offer.  We do not need to field the same group of riders every race and indeed last year 12 riders had the opportunity of riding for the team and a further 10 raced in Melbourne when we were able to field more than one team.

Race venues and dates are as follows:

  1. Sydney ,       Sat 13 and Sun 14 October, 2012           CCCC Team nominations close 30 Sept  (Sunday)
  2. Perth,             Sat 3 and Sun 4 November, 2011         CCCC Team nominations close 14 Oct (Sunday)
  3. Launceston, Fri 7 and Sat 8 December, 2012             CCCC Team nominations close 18 Nov    (Sunday)
  4. Adelaide,     TUESDAY 22 January, 2013                     CCCC Team nominations close 16 Dec     (Sunday)
  5. Melbourne,  Sat 23 February, 2012                            CCCC Team nominations close 10 Feb 2013 (Sunday)

Last year the Club provided accommodation, hire of a bus while interstate, some meals, and paid for a coach and chaperone to travel with the team, with a subsidy from Cycling Australia covering most of the travel expenses, so the event did not cost riders very much at all to attend. Teams travel together by plane with the Club coach and chaperone.

At this point we are not looking to select teams for individual races however if you are interested in being considered for a team please email Juniors@carnegiecycling.com.au and let us know:

  • Name
  • Age Category (U15 or U17)
  • Which rounds you are interested in racing in (feel free to say “all”!)
