A massive congratulations from all of us to Shane for his terrific results at the Olympic Games in London.
Shane claimed a bronze medal in the sprint event, and narrowly missed the podium in his other two races. He rode in the team sprint, which just missed out in the bronze ride off against Germany, and came away with fifth place in the Kierin.
Shane’s parents Daryl and Maureen made the trip over to watch Shane race, as did his wife Kristine and two kids.
A big thanks also to CCCC stalwart CJ Farquharson at CJFoto.com for the fantastic photos of the bronze medal match and the three medalists.

Congratulations also to former CCCC member Erin Densham who matched Perko’s efforts with a bronze medal in the women’s triathlon. VIS triathlon coach had Erin racing at Sandown regularly, and her confidence in the bunch stood out in the slippery conditions that saw many of her competitors in difficulty.
We’re looking forward to some more good news in the coming weeks, as Michael Gallagher and Carol Cooke will be in the green and gold of the Australian Paralympic team.
