Winter road racing is not possible without all CCCC members contributing their time to the safe conduct of our races.
Permits are required from Victoria Police, VicRoads and the local Councils for us to conduct races, and the permit conditions imposed include requirements for Traffic Controllers, Corner Marshals and Lead and Follow vehicle drivers. In addition, we need members to assist with setting out the course signage, race registrations and finish line judging.
All members are required to attend and assist at a minimum of one event during the winter season (we are more htna happy for you to bring along an adult friend or family member to carry out the duty so you can take part in the race). Members who nominated a preference for the date of the duty were accommodated – if you didn’t respond to the call for preferences you will have been allocated to a race. If you are unable to attend the scheduled date, it is your responsibility to arrange a swap with another member. The CCCC forums are a convenient way to do this.
