At the National Titles in Adelaide tonight the standing lap TT’s were held for U19′s which is part of the selection trials for the Team Sprint at the Junior Worlds later this year. Emerson Harwood rode 18.337 and Jacob Schmid 18.441. I understand their times were well ahead of other riders times. These two young men are excellent sprinters in top form. You may recall Emerson fell at 80 plus KPH on DISC in December but recovered extremely well.
Spoke to Hilton just before and he is very happy with the sprinters times. On Hilton last Sunday I personally saw him help a young rider and his mum and dad. This young bloke he noticed had his seat too low and over a period of about one hour lifted his seat 3 cm in total. I might add this young rider was racing riders Hilton coaches but that did not matter to him as he was helping to get the young blokes position right.
Over my years with Hilton I have seen him assist quite a number of cyclists in this manner, no fan fair just wants things to be right for the rider.
