Nominations to represent CCCC in the Vic Club Team Champs now OPEN!

The Victorian Club (Track) Team Championships will be held on 18th – 19th February this year. If you want to represent the club in your age group for the TEAM SPRINT and/or TEAM PURSUIT, now is your last chance to nominate.
As per usual, we want to field as many teams as possible – so will try and fit everyone who nominates to at least one ride.

YOUNG JUNIORS in particular – to be considered, you must be considered competent at riding at DISC. Thus riders must be able to ride in a paceline on the track, and comfortably ride around the bends for everyone’s safety :-)

SENIORS – remember that the Glenvale Cres crit is always there next week! This is your one chance to represent the club on the track in a team event for the year.

In the team sprint, after the first rider has done their one lap on the front, they have to swing up to let the second rider through to do their lap (and third their lap too, if its a mens team).

In the team pursuit, after starting, you slot into formation and roll track turns [i.e. ride in a paceline] around the track together as fast as possible without dropping anyone until the race is over.

Juniors (U17 and below) are on SATURDAY 18th February 2012, from 10 am.

The order on both days is team sprint, followed by team pursuit.

For mens teams, plus U11/U13 teams:
* Team sprint = 3 riders
* Team pursuit = 4 riders (3rd rider = time)

For womens teams (i.e. JW15, JW17, JW19, Elite & Masters):
* Team sprint = 2 riders
* Team pursuit = 3 riders (3rd rider = time, so you can’t drop anyone!)
