Four Carnegie riders off to Moscow for Junior Track Worlds

Written by Graham Fryer

Congratulations to our latest four Australian representatives:

Jack Cummings

Luke Parker

Rick Sanders, and

Adele Sylvester

Who have earned places in the Australian U19 team to contest the junior Track World Championships in Moscow in August.

Jack and Luke both began their cycling careers at our Packer Park Junior Development Programme, progressing along the Carnegie junior development pathway into sports institute programmes. Rick has been racing with the Club at Glenvale and Sandown for some years now, and was part of our high performance group training at DISC on Wednesday night under Hilton Clarke. Adele is the newest club member, being attracted by the development path we have in place and getting early acceptance into the NTID Sprint Programme, and recently the VIS.

All four have also raced as part of the CCCC Elite team.

For one Club to have four riders selected is an outstanding achievement, and is further testament to the support given to junior development by the Club, as well as the extraordinary coaching skills of CCCC Head Coach, and NTID Sprint Coach, Hilton Clarke
