Good to see Zak Dempster has signed to ride wit a Belgium Pro Team in 2009. Zak has come a long way since winning the Austral as a 16 year old. Zak is a great riders but also a real nice young man who will succeed as a Pro. With so many good riders

Speaking to Klaus the GRD Painter at Cafe Racer this morning he told Bruce Will and myself that the Gent track is 160 metres around. This size would make that 6 Day race very spectacular, in particular taking laps and changes. I would like to see a 6 day race at this track one

Callum I read your article on your exchange program in France. It is really great reading and you are fortunate to be in such wonderful surroundings. I followed you up Hopes Rise one Saturday with Jack, Matt, Stuart & Kerrie and I would say you are an excellent climber suited to the terrain you

Plus went to grand daughter Jelena's basketball this morning

Wednesday night I did not train at DISC as I was gardening until 7.30pm, a bloody long day. With the weather looking crook decided to race at DISC last night with Northcote. Entered B grade but as only 4 A graders turned up this week, they were in with us. First race 20 lapper

Very sad to read of Joe Ciavola death today. It only seems like yesterday that Joe was a top rider amateur then professional. Joe was a real showman at Olympic Park Velodrome on Saturday nights in the summer. Joe would team up with the Italian imports and ride in Italy versus Australia Tests usually

Well, tonight we got our monies worth in C grade with the race duration 1 hour 10 minutes. The South Easterly meant that riders were in the wind on the straights and so the field gradually diminished to less than half, I am told. I was satisfied being the oldest Wally to finish and
